My wife and I own and operate Long Hollow Pens.  I love creating breathtaking pieces
of art, including beautiful writing instruments and small turnings.

To make each piece, we search the world for rare and unique materials to use.  I
recently received a shipment of ancient kauri (carbon dated at 30,000 to 50,000 years
old), Irish bog oak (carbon dated at 400 AD), and wormy chestnut from a barn built in
the early 1800s.  I also enjoy working with natural materials such as corn cob,
rattlesnake skin, deer antler, and stone.

This summer, we attended the AAW Symposium in Kentucky and spent several days
working with artists from around the world to learn new techniques to enhance our
pieces.

When time permits, I also enjoy designing and building fine jewelry boxes, clocks,
display cases, gun cabinets, and various other items.  Please
email me if you would like
to discuss a custom job.

In addition to woodworking and wood turning, I enjoy golf, hunting, fishing, reloading,
and raising labs.

We look forward to hearing from you.
